Joseph LaRocco's Obituary
Joseph " Cadillac Joe " LaRocco, 78, born in Utica, NY, but a lifelong resident of Syracuse NY, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024, in the company of his loving wife of over 50 years.
Among his many talents, he was a through and through Northside “Jack of all Trades” servicing all your automotive needs and more throughout his life. A welder, electrician, avid pool player, and a 2x award winning recipient of classic car restorations honors at the NYSF are just a few of his well-known skills. When there was time for himself, he could also be found alongside his cherry red corvette fulfilling his love for classic cars!
Joe honorably represented his country serving in The United States Airforce in the early 1960's. Above all, Joe, at his core, was a family man. That's where he discovered his true station in life, serving as a beloved husband, father, son, brother, grand/great father, friend, teacher, and hero to anyone fortunate enough to have met him.
This is where he turned his struggles into lessons and those lessons taught in love. Where he was a shining example of what hard work, perseverance and a never give up mindset can achieve as long as you believe! These rare and special actions will live on as he is survived by his wife, Christine LaRocco; son, Michael LaRocco (Kisha); daughters, Bobbie Jo (Rick E.) and Patrica (Robert N.); brothers, Michael, Guy (Carol); sister, Eleanor Marco, and stepsister, Karen and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Joe is predeceased by his father, Michael LaRocco (Gina) and his mother, Loretta Belle Smith.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. followed by a funeral service in celebration of Joseph’s life at 6:00 p.m. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse.
