Joseph F. Mangan Jr.'s Obituary
Joseph F. Mangan, Jr. passed away Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center with his loving family by his side. Joe was a lifetime resident of Syracuse and served as a Senior Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army and retired in 1992 from Crouse Hinds after 40 years of service, and was a member of the IBEW Local 2084.
Born in Syracuse , Joe was the son of the late Joseph and Ann Mangan, and predeceased by his sisters, Eleanor (Sam) Cornacchione and Dorothy (Richard) Burdick, and nephew, Godson, John Farrand. Joe is survived by his sister & brother-in-law, Evelyn & James Farrand of Jamesville; nieces, Dorothy (Albert) Pu, Deborah (Jeffrey) Thrall, Lori (James) Jarrett, nephew Salvatore (Tina) Cornacchione, and several great-nieces and nephews .
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 A.M. at Thomas J. Pirro Jr. Funeral Home and 11:30 A.M. at the All Saints Church, 1340 Lancaster Avenue, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt. Prior to Joe’s funeral a calling hour will be on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home 3401 Vickery road (corner of Buckley Road) North Syracuse.
