Joseph Carmen Manino's Obituary
Joseph Carmen Manino, 87, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2020 at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. Joseph was born in Syracuse to the late Carmen and Mary (Calabria) Mannino and was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict. Joseph worked as a meat cutter for Tops Friendly Markets and P&C Foods.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Ann (McGrath) Manino in 2019; his stepson, Mark Dennis and a brother, John F. Mannino.
Joseph is survived by his children, Joanne (Richard) Stagnitta, MaryLu (William) Sobon, Katherine (Brian) Wing and Rosemarie (Douglas) Battist; his stepson, Eugene Dennis; a daughter-in-law, Crystal Dennis; grandchildren, Richard, Melanie, William, Jessica, Brian, Nicolette, Jacob, Rachel, Maureen and Justin; 9 great-grandchildren; a brother, Frederick J. (Sharon) Mannino; a sister, Mary V. (Gerald) Malerba; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 24, 2020 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Joseph’s life at 12:00 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Road (corner of Buckley Road.), North Syracuse. Burial will follow in North Syracuse Cemetery.
