Joe Mars. Simply one of a kind and one of the greatest storytellers of all time. I’ll miss his great laugh and smile. Never a dull moment when Mars was in the room.
Joe was one of my husband Sam’s best friends. They grew up living next door to each other on Spring Street. Joe always had a smile when he saw you and I loved listening to the banter between them riding in Sam’s 39 Plymouth. When Sam was so very sick , Joe flew from Boston to see him. It was wonderful to hear them laughing together. I was so grateful to Joe for that. Sam passed not long after that and again Joe flew to Syracuse for the funeral. He was a true friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. My deepest sympathy to his family.
