Joseph Philip Molinaro's Obituary
Joseph P. Molinaro, 95, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, February 18, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Carbondale, PA to the late Philip Joseph and Julia Rita (Scalise) Molinaro. After graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force and was a Chief Master Sergeant for 30 years. He was an avid Ham Radio Operator (W2FUU). Joe enjoyed fishing, hunting, and boating, at his camp in the Adirondacks for over 40 years.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his son, Philip Joseph Molinaro, his sister, Felice Rose Heckman.
Joe is survived by his wife of 70 years, Johanna (Gringhuber) Molinaro; his children, Felice R. (Edward) DiDomenico and Christina Julie (Gregory) Yensan; his grandchildren, Alexandria Molinaro and Gregory and Taylor Yensan; his daughter-in-law, Dianne Molinaro; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to St. Joseph’s Hospital for their wonderful care.
A funeral Mass in celebration of Joseph’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 22, 2024 in St. Rose of Lima Church. He will be laid to rest in Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery in Carbondale, PA.
