Joseph A. Pisani's Obituary
Joseph A. Pisani, 93, of Syracuse, passed away at home on November 7, 2020. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Modesto and Mary (Giannuzzi) Pisani. Joseph was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran. He retired as a supervisor with GE in 1987 after 42 dedicated years. He was a longtime communicant and usher at Our Lady of Pompei Church and a member of its Holy Name Society. Joseph was one of the founding fathers and lifetime member of the IAAC Club.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by three siblings, Rosalie Pisani, Victoria Rizzo, and John Pisani.
Joseph is survived by his brother, Santo Pisani; sisters, Dorothy Blowers, Connie (Joseph) Conte and Antoinette Sawmiller; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Joseph’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse, NY. He will be laid to rest with Military Honors in Assumption Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Pompei Church or a charity of choice.
