Joseph "Uncle Joe" Terrinoni's Obituary
Joseph “Uncle Joe” Terrinoni, born November 23, 1947, in Syracuse, NY, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family—just as he lived his life.
He was the proud son of Joseph and Rose Terrinoni, who welcomed him into a strong Italian family built on hard work, loyalty, and love—values Joe carried with him every single day.
A lifelong resident of Syracuse, Joe was known as a tough, resilient construction laborer and a proud member of Local 333. He worked hard, took pride in providing, and earned the respect of everyone who knew him. But beyond the work, Joe will be remembered for who he was at his core—a man who loved being around people.
On the “NORTSIDE” and beyond, he was simply “Uncle Joe.” He had a way of making everyone feel like family, whether you knew him your whole life or just met him that day. He loved the laughter, the stories, the conversations, and the simple joy of being surrounded by good people.
Joe’s greatest pride, however, was always his family.
He is survived by his three children: his twin sons, Joseph and Salvatore (Paula), and his daughter, Trisanne. He also leaves behind his brother, Salvatore (Marie) Terrinoni; his niece and nephew, Chantelle Terrinoni and Chad (Veda) Terrinoni; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends who meant the world to him.
In true fashion, Joe was known to slip out quietly—choosing the Irish goodbye over the long Italian one—but the love he gave, the memories he created, and the presence he carried will never leave the hearts of those who knew him.
He will be missed deeply, remembered always, and carried on through the family he loved so much.
Family and friends may call from 3:00 – 6:00 pm on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY 13212.
