Joseph A. Verone's Obituary
Joseph A. Verone, 82, of Syracuse passed away on Saturday. He was born in Carbondale, PA. Joseph retired from the US Postal Service and also worked for many years at Syracuse China. He was predeceased by his parents; Gregorio and Diega (Adamo) Verone and his brothers; Michael, Gregory and Anthony. Joseph is survived by his sons, Gregory (JoAnn), Albert (Maureen) and Joseph (Lori) Verone, all of Syracuse; his daughters, Diane Verone of Summit, NJ and Francine (Donald) Stanford of Greensboro, NC; 8 loving grandchildren; his brothers, Giacomo and John; a sister, Josephine Augello and his long time companion Marge Janaro. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 am in the Thomas J. Pirro Funeral Home and 10:00 in Our Lady of Pompei Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
