Josephine (Iorio) Anelli's Obituary
Josephine (Iorio) Anelli, 91, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2024.
Josephine was born in Villa Santo Stefano, Italy and immigrated to Syracuse, NY in 1948.
As a young woman, Josephine worked at Julius Resnick Pocketbook Factory and later retired after working for many years at the Holiday Inn in Liverpool. She was most at home in her kitchen and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She also loved sewing and gardening. Above all, Josephine loved spending time with her family and will be deeply missed.
She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Anselmo in 2017, as well as her siblings, Arturo, Maria, and Clara.
Josephine is survived by her son, John Anelli; two daughters; Nancy Anelli and Teresa (Christopher) Cline and her beloved grandchildren, Ryan, Rachel, and Marisa Cline, along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday August 12, 2024, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, followed by a funeral service in celebration of Josephine’s life at 12:15 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
