Josephine A. Bucci's Obituary
Josephine A. (Tagliamonte) Bucci, 93, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday at Loretto. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of Bartolino and Lucy (DiToro) Tagliamonte. Josephine was employed with Addis Company for ten years. She enjoyed watching SU football and basketball games. Josephine loved sharing her Italian traditions with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She shared many special times with each of them. Josephine will always be remembered for her warm smile and sense of humor. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis Bucci in 1995 and her sister, Alice Riccelli in 2007. Josephine is survived by her two daughters, Barbara A. (John) Romano and Susan M. Bucci, both of N. Syracuse; four grandchildren, Steven L. (Danette) Romano, Mark J. Romano, Kathleen A. (Thomas) Bell and Heather M. Brownell; four great-grandchildren, Evan, Lauren, Marissa and Julia; sister, Mary Felice of Syracuse and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 8:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 9:00 am in St. John the Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
