Josephine G. (Marzullo) Cavallaro's Obituary
Josephine G. (Marzullo) Cavallaro, 96, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Mrs. Cavallaro was a life resident of Syracuse, daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Marzullo.
Mrs. Cavallaro retired from Clancy's Silver Star Market. She was an avid volunteer at St. Peter's Church and a communicant of St. Matthew's Church. Josie was a consummate wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.
Other than her parents, Josie was predeceased by her loving husband, Anthony Cavallaro in 1995.
Surviving are her children, Thomas (Joanne) Cavallaro of Florida and Marie (Joseph) VanWie of Liverpool; daughter-in-law, Wendy (Michael Hrab) Cavallaro; 5 grandchildren, Gina, Nicole, Richard, Anthony, and Jacob, 12 great-grandchildren; her brother, Michael (Dorothy) Marzullo, 3 sisters-in-law, Carmella, Shirley and Irene, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at 8:00 AM on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Josie’s life at 9:00 AM in St. Matthew's Church, East Syracuse. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, July 22, 2016 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd (corner of Buckley Rd) N. Syracuse, NY.
