Josephine (Polimino) Eskenazi's Obituary
Josephine (Polimino) Eskenazi, 94, of San Francisco, CA, passed away at home on February 28, 2020. She was born in Archibald, PA, daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella (Malara) Polimino. Josephine retired as an Assistant Manager from Coast Savings Bank. She was a member of Lakeside Presbyterian Church and Jewish Family Children Services. Josephine enjoyed playing her Hammond organ, crossword puzzles, baking, watching Extreme Sports, America’s Funniest Videos and Judge Judy. She was also an avid animal lover, enjoying her pets over the years.
In addition to her parents, she is also predeceased by two spouses, Salvatore Copani and Morris Eskenazi; siblings, Dominick “Nick” Polimino, Jennie Raterman, Patsy Polimino and Santo Polimino; brother-in-law, Ralph Scicchitano.
Josephine is survived by two sons, Leonard Mark Copani (Betsy Elliott) of Syracuse and Michael Copani (Michael Colaneri) of San Francisco; a granddaughter, Nicole Copani; siblings, Palma Scicchitano of Manlius and Mary (Joseph) Gorgoni of Fayetteville; brother-in-law, George Raterman; sisters-in-law, Carol Polimino and Sandy Polimino, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A Funeral Service in celebration of Josephine’s life will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, March 6, 2020 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by entombment at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
