Josephine Marnell's Obituary
Josephine (Carbone) Marnell, 85, of Syracuse passed away on Saturday at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Mt. Jewett, PA, she resided in Syracuse most of her life. Josephine was an avid bowler, homemaker and a member of the Golden Agers. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, John M. Marnell; 2 daughters, Joanne Marnell of Liverpool and Carolyn Duerr (Art VanGelder) of N. Syracuse; a son, James (Kathleen) Marnell of Rochester; 3 grandchildren, Carrie, John and Megan; 1 great-granddaughter; a sister, Mary DiMaio of Mattydale; a brother, Bruno Carbone of Syracuse and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 9:00 A.M. in the Thomas J. Pirro Funeral Home and at 10:00A.M. in St. John the Baptist Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 7 pm. Contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North St., Liverpool, NY 13088.
