Josephine P. Melfi's Obituary
Josephine P. (Paratore) Melfi, 87, of Boynton Beach, FL, passed away Friday peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse, NY and was the daughter of the late Matteo and Frances Paratore. Josephine retired after many years of service with the NY Telephone Company. She loved watching Syracuse University sports, enjoyed bowling and playing bingo and mahjong in Florida with her many friends.
Josephine is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Victor; her daughters; Marguerite Legnetto and Francine Morkovin; her son Anthony Melfi; beloved grandchildren; Deanna Legnetto and Anthony Melfi Jr.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service, in celebration of Josephine’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 13, 2017 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY 13212 followed by entombment at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
