Josephine (DiMento) Paratore's Obituary
Josephine (DiMento) Paratore, 84, of Belmont, NC, passed away at home on April 28, 2021. She was born in Spadafora Sicily Italy, daughter of the late Vincenzo and Giovanna (Losurdo) DiMento. Josephine was a seamstress with Learbury’s for many years. Her greatest enjoyment was time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is also predeceased by her husband, Joseph Paratore in 1992. Josephine is survived by her two sons, Anthony (Eileen) Paratore and Vincent (Tina) Paratore; her daughter, Grace Sachs; five grandchildren, Anna, Joey, Jessica, Anthony, and Adrianna; five great-grandchildren, Brianna, Isabella, Scarlett, Joey and Parker; five siblings, Rosa Lisa, Grace Magazu, Frank (Maria) DiMento, Rita LaMacchia and Anthony (Rina) DiMento, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Josephine’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at St. Daniel’s Church, 3004 Court St., Syracuse, NY. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
