Josephine Marie Riccardi's Obituary
Josephine Marie Riccardi, a devoted wife and mother of four sons, passed away Tuesday, July 23rd with her family by her side at her home in North Syracuse, NY. She will be greatly missed.
Generous, Honest, Caring, Devoted, Loyal and Loving are only a few truthful words that so accurately describe a woman who forever touched those fortunate to have known her. Josie had a very strong work ethic and was a 26-year employee of AT&T.
She was survived by her husband of 47 years, Richard P. Riccardi, and their four sons, Ben (Ellen) Riccardi, Richard (Kristin) Riccardi, Frederic Riccardi (Bryan Lasseter), and Michael (Juliana) Riccardi; her five grandchildren, Michael, Zack, Nick, Rebecca, and Mia Riccardi. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Fortunato & Domenica Imbesi, brother Joseph Imbesi; survived by her two brothers, Netti (Rosetta) Imbesi, Tino (Phyllis) Imbesi, and sister Carmela (Philip) Zanghi. Aunt Josie “Zia Pep” loved her many nephews & nieces.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, 9:00 am at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 10:00 am at Assumption Church, where a funeral mass will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
