Judith Anne Forte's Obituary
Judith Anne Forte, 79, of Liverpool, NY, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born in Syracuse, NY in 1940, the only child to her parents, Robert and Ida Crownhart. Judy graduated from North Syracuse High School and later worked for Mohawk Airlines, followed by many years at Chappell’s, and then Burlington Coat Factory. She worked up until her diagnosis with Multiple Sclerosis and lived 13 more precious years, which we are so thankful to have had.
Judy was one of a kind with a beautiful smile, an infectious laugh, and a huge heart who always helped others. She had a tremendous love for people, especially her family and friends. She was a loving Christian woman who loved Jesus and we take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering and with Him. As she would say, “NO JESUS, NO PEACE; KNOW JESUS, KNOW PEACE”. Judy touched so many lives and will be greatly missed; our hearts are broken. She lived, she laughed, she loved, she left.
She is predeceased by her first husband, Charles Kelsey.
Judy was a devoted wife to her loving husband of 51 years, Michael Forte; loving mother to Amy (Dave) Pirro, Cathy Kelsey, Lisa (Jeff) Kyanka, and Tony (Heidi) Forte; grandmother to eight grandchildren, Michael Corbin, Carli Kelsey, Sean and Nikki Scoggins, Jake and Cortnie Kyanka, Austin and Aaron Forte; four great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 4, 2020 from 5 – 6:30 pm, immediately followed by a funeral service at 6:30 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. To attend the funeral service remotely, please use the link on Judith's tribute page at tjpfuneralhome.com at 6:30 pm on Friday.
The family would like to thank the two angels from heaven at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Emergency RN - Maria and Care Nurse on the 3rd floor - Elizabeth for their care and compassion, as well as the other compassionate staff.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Judy’s memory may be made to CNY Multiple Sclerosis Upstate NY Chapter, 1000 Elmwood Avenue Suite 900, Rochester, NY 14620.
