Judith L. (Palkowski) Kendrick's Obituary
Judith L. “Judy” (Palkowski) Kendrick, 69, of Clay, passed away Saturday at Central Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Bruce A. and Doris H. (Dunne) Palkowski. Judy graduated from Baldwinsville High School and then from the Powelson Business Institute. Judy was the owner of her own bridal business since 1982 called “Elegance Forever”. She also worked for the Home Insurance Company for 13 years and Niagara Mohawk as a customer service representative for 20 years. Judy was a member of the National Campers and Hikers Association and was an avid NASCAR and modified race fan and sponsored cars at Brewerton and Fulton Speedways. She also enjoyed gambling and playing the slot machines at various casinos.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald M. Kendrick in 1997 and her sister, Barbara Benedict.
Judy is survived by her best friend and companion, Stanley “Stosh” Michalski of Clay; her sister, Sharon Martin; her nephew, Tim Kendrick; brother-in-law, Marty Benedict; four step-sons, several step-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Judy’s life will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
