Judith A. (Mason) Sylvester's Obituary
Judith Anne (Mason) Sylvester, 81, passed away peacefully at her home into the arms of Christ with her loving husband of 60 years by her side on December 28, 2022. Judith was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Anthony and Grace (Sgroi) Mason. She graduated from North High School and Cazenovia College. Judith went on to work for General Electric. Following her time at GE, she dedicated her life to caring for her children, husband and home. Judith was a seasoned bridge player for over 50 years. She valued those friendships made throughout her life. Judith served as a Deaconess at the Westside Community Chapel where she has been a member for many years and cherished her church family. Judith had a special talent and gifting for interior design, cuisine and entertaining. Her greatest love was Christ and being surrounded by her family.
Judith is survived by her husband, Frank Sylvester; two daughters, Kristen (Jon) Rea, and Kimberly (James) Loomis; her grandchildren, Giavanna Sylvester, Joshua, Isabella, Jenna, Julia, Hannah, Jebadiah and Flora Loomis, Olivia, Fiona, Evan, Jonathan and Jessica Rea.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A Funeral Service in celebration of Judith’s life will take place at 10:00 am on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Westside Community Chapel, 6198 Airport Rd., Syracuse, NY, followed by burial in Assumption Cemetery.
