Judy A. (Fortino) Bucher's Obituary
Judy A. (Fortino) Bucher, 61, of Cicero, NY, passed away on the morning of Sunday July 30, 2023. She was born in Syracuse and is a 1980 graduate of Paul V. Moore High School and attended college at Bryant & Stratton Business School. Judy spent most of her career in the real estate industry working for Property Preservation Companies in and around the Syracuse area. She was selfless and big-hearted, always helping people she was devoted to. Judy enjoyed time with her family, sharing old stories around the table and making new ones with her young nieces and nephews who she cherished. She was an avid reader and loved Stephen King books and was always up for a good movie.
Judy was predeceased by several siblings, Susan (1958), Cathy (1982), Carol (2001), Donna (2020), also her parents, Joan A. (Newell) Fortino (2005) and John D. Fortino (2019)
She is survived by her husband of 14 years, James L. Bucher; her son, Brian S. Atkins; two stepsons, Joshua J. Bucher and Jacob M. Bucher; her grandson, Jordan J. Atkins; her beloved Aunt Darlene R. Fortino (David); siblings, Sally A. Jones, Gloria J. Boland, John D. Fortino, Jr. (Janine), David A. Fortino (Brenda), June M. Atkins, Joseph W. Fortino (Billie Jo), Randall S. Fortino (Alexis), along with many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 4 – 6 pm, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Judy’s life at 6 pm at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY.
