Karl R. Burst's Obituary
Karl R. Burst, 63, of North Syracuse, passed away Friday, September 18, 2015. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late Karl and Eleanor (Tyrel) Burst. Karl retired from Liberty Mutual in 2009 after many years; he then worked with American Food and Vending until retiring in July, 2015. He was an avid golfer and a member of Radisson Greens Golf Course and Dewitt Fish and Game. Karl’s greatest pleasure in life was following his son Kasey’s Lacrosse career over the years from high school, college and currently coaching at Clarke University in Iowa.
Karl is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jackie A. (Julian) Burst; his son, Kasey Burst of Dubuque, Iowa; his brother, Thomas (Michelle) Burst of N. Syracuse; his sister, Linda Burst of Central Square, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Joseph the Worker Church, Liverpool. Interment will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
