Kathleen (Hamilton) Gibbons' Obituary
Kathleen "Hammy" Gibbons, 60, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 28, 2016. She was born in Syracuse and worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 39 years. Kathleen was an avid Syracuse basketball and football fan and followed the NY Yankees. She enjoyed bowling, playing golf, and coaching her daughters in softball. Kathleen loved to travel to beach destinations and enjoyed summers by her pool. Any conversation with Kathleen was sure to end with one of her famous jokes.
She was predeceased by her father, Frank Hamilton, and her brothers, Danny Hamilton and Thomas Hamilton.
Kathleen is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Theodore “Ted” Gibbons; her two daughters, Amanda (Steven) Roff of Liverpool and Kaitlyn Gibbons of Albany; her grandson, Parker Roff; her mother, Mary Jane Hamilton; two sisters, Anne (Stephen) Manzene and Sue (Michael) McArdell; her brother, David (Sue) Hamilton, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Special thanks to her sister Sue for the time and dedication given to Kathleen.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Kathleen’s life at 10:00 am in St. Joseph the Worker Church, Liverpool. Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Family and friends may call from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Friday, July 1, 2016 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
