Kathryn M. (Tampa) Finocchio's Obituary
On August 25th, 2022, Kathryn “Kitty” (Tampa) Finocchio passed away at home unexpectedly. She was 68 years old. Kitty worked in transportation and office administration for nearly 50 years, working at Estes in E. Syracuse for the last 13 years. She holds an associate degree in Art, an accomplishment she took great pride in achieving as a later-in-life college graduate. Kitty was known for her love of art, quick-witted humor, and marching to the beat of her own drum.
She was predeceased by her parents, Nicholas Tampa, Ann Gray Attanas (McNulty), & John Attanas, and daughter, Erica Dorn.
Kitty is survived by daughters, Lisa Dorn and Tricia Dorn (Glen Masner); grandchildren, Taylor Pylman, Isabella Dorn (Sean Oroni), Hunter Pylman, and Mickinley Pylman; siblings, Linda Attanas, John Tampa, Michele Hoag, and Diane Abbattista; many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Kathryn’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Blessed Sacrament Church, Syracuse, NY, with burial to follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
