Katie (Gallagher) Healy's Obituary
Katie (Gallagher) Healy, 39, of Clay, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday at the Francis House with her loving family by her side. Born in Port Jefferson, NY, she attended SUNY Morrisville where she played college soccer. Katie also received her Bachelor of Science Degree and Master’s Degree in Education from Oswego State College. Katie was a teacher with the Fulton City School District. Katie was known for her unique, infectious laugh and beautiful smile and was quick to make friends easily with everyone she met. She loved traveling and spending time on the beach although, most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and many friends.
She was predeceased by her father, John Gallagher.
Katie is survived by her loving husband, Clint Healy; her daughter, Molly Healy; her mother, Nancy Gallagher-Grieco; her step-father, Clem Grieco; two brothers, John Gallagher and Bobby (Jennifer) Gallagher, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Katie’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 14, 2015 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Liverpool. Family and friends may call from 1:00 – 4:00 pm on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
