Kenneth C. Rock's Obituary
Kenneth C. Rock, 81, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at Loretto Health and Rehabilitation on February 18, 2025. He was born in Saranac Lake, NY to the late Clarence and Agnes (Sharkey) Burger and graduated from Fabius High School in 1962. Ken was an engineering manager for New Process Gear for many years and was an enthusiastic music lover; he could often be found singing, dancing, or playing guitar. His technical background spurned a love of computers, but Ken still loved to disconnect and enjoy the outdoors going camping. He was also an avid Syracuse sports fan.
In addition to his parents, Ken is predeceased by his siblings, Beverly Quinn, Kathy Rock, Jimmy Rock, and Denton Rock.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Connie (Miller) Rock; his sons, Edward (Rachel) Rock and Jerry (Terri) Rock; his grandchildren, Dylan, Valerie, William, and Cadence; his siblings, Gary (Gloria) Rock, Darryl (Jen) Rock, Johnny Rock, Rick (Holley) Rock, Danny (Chrissy) Rock, Peggy (Mike) Parsons, Susie McCrossen, Missy (Peter) Glogowski, Lynda (Cliff) Purcell; his uncle, Vincent (Melody) Sharkey; his aunt, Dorothy Winslow; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to PACE CNY for their excellent care of Ken.
A funeral service in celebration of Ken’s life will take place on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Cicero United Methodist Church, 8416 Brewerton Rd. Cicero, NY 13039.
