Kenton G. "Ken" Storie's Obituary
Kenton "Ken" G. Storie, 82, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Hammond, NY, the son of the late Karl and Rita (Nichols) Storie. Ken graduated from Cornell University, moved to North Syracuse in 1962, where he and his wife Sharon raised their family. He was self employed his entire life and retired from his company Cicero Interstate Sunoco. He was an avid Yankee fan, he would never miss watching a game, he also loved horse racing and SU basketball. Other than his parents he was also predeceased by a brother Neil Storie. Ken survived by his wife of 58 years Sharon (LaMora) Storie, 5 children: Michael (Gloria) Storie of North Syracuse, Kyle (Cheryl) Storie of Fayetteville, Darryl Storie of North Syracuse, Gregory (Michelle) Storie of Cicero, Kathleen (Andrew) Baker of Cicero. 11 Grandchildren: Todd (Danielle) Storie, Melissa (Matthew) Marduesz, Jordan, Daniel, Sarah, Aaron, Mariah and Natalie Storie, Payton Baker, Drew Baker, and Ryan Storie. 3 Great Grandchildren: Addison Mardeusz, Jaxon Mardeusz, and Sophia Storie, his brother Wayne (Lana) Storie, sister Sherill (Jack) Eustice and his sister in law Carol Storie. A funeral service in Ken's honor will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M..
