Korlene L. Pomerville's Obituary
Korlene Louise Pomerville, 86, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Upstate University Hospital. She was born on January 24, 1939 to the late George & Freda (Bristol) Pomerville in Watertown, N.Y. and lived there for a period of time before moving to Syracuse for the remainder of her life. She was employed with St. Joseph's Hospital as a clerical worker for over thirty years before retiring in 2001.
Cherished by those fortunate to cross her path, Korlene endeared herself to all with her contagious humor; always lifting spirits and spreading light wherever she went.
She enjoyed hobbies like crafting homemade rosaries, doodling and sketching religious and nature related drawings, and going to church - she was a lifelong member of Assumption Church.
Korlene is survived by her four sisters, Joyce Converse, of Palermo, and Patricia Porter, Helen Moore, and Beatrice Huberdeau, all of Watertown; her dear best friend, Pamela Speach; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass in celebration of Korlene’s life will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 in Assumption Church, 812 N. Salina St. Syracuse. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
