Larry A. "Bucky" Nesci's Obituary
Larry Anthony Nesci, 73, of Liverpool, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 11, 2013. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late Ilario and Concetta (Santaro) Nesci. Bucky was a graduate of North High School where he was Captain of the All City Football Team. He was President and Owner of Nash Construction for over 40 years and was known by his friends as "Mr. Nash". Bucky was a self made man and worked diligently throughout his career. Some of his main projects included The North Medical Center as Construction Manager, Kennedy Square, The U.S. Post Office and many Kinney Drug Stores all over New York State. No project was too big or small for his family and friends. Never a day went by, that Bucky was not there to give his love, loyalty and help to family and friends.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Theresa and Ellie; his brother, Tony; sisters-in-law, Maria and Deanna and nephews, Larry and Butch. Bucky is survived by his loving wife and best friend of over 48 years, Mary Jane (Stagnitta) Nesci; his beloved children, Lauren Vassallo of Liverpool and Lawrence J. Nesci of Syracuse; the "loves of his life", his grandchildren, Mia and Joseph Vassallo and Larry Anthony Nesci II; five brothers, Joseph Nesci of Liverpool, James Nesci of Florida, Michael Nesci of Syracuse, Richard Nesci of Syracuse and Patrick (Carol) Nesci of Baldwinsville; two sisters, Anne (James) Murty and Lucille (Donald) Hall, both of Liverpool and all his Dunkin Donuts "Buddies".
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 8:30 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 9:30 am in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool, where a funeral mass will be celebrated. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Sunday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
