Laura (Casciano) Spadafora's Obituary
Laura (Casciano) Spadafora, 89, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 18, 2019. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Angelo and Leapoldina (Marconi) Casciano. Laura was a piano teacher for many years and very active in her church and church choir. Laura was loved by many and truly cared for everyone she met; she moved people in a very unassuming way. Her family, friends and faith were the most important things in her life, and she will be sadly missed by everyone.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by four siblings. Laura is survived by her loving husband of 65+ years, Patrick F. Spadafora; three daughters, Lenore (Paul) Sealy and son Zachary, Doreen (Kenneth) Ural and sons, Matthew and Michael; Melissa (Roger) Nix and children, Tyler, Nicholas and Laurann; one brother-in-law; three sisters-in-law, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 22, 2019 from 11 am – 12:45 pm at Eastwood Baptist Church, 3212 James St., Syracuse, followed by a Funeral Service in celebration of Laura’s life at 1:00 pm at Eastwood Baptist Church. Private entombment will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Francis House or Eastwood Baptist Church.
