Lawrence E. Loughney's Obituary
Lawrence E. Loughney, 70, of Liverpool, passed away suddenly on Tuesday at home. He was born in Syracuse and served with the U.S. Air Force. Lawrence was formerly employed with IGA in Central Square and Price Chopper before retiring. He was an avid golfer and fisherman and enjoyed going to the casino.
He was predeceased by his mother Claire, father Robert and brother Kenneth.
Lawrence is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Joanne (Campione) Loughney; two daughters, Cynthia A. (Mitchell) Strong and Christine M. Rivera, both of Liverpool; six grandchildren, Kylah “Sunshine”, Corrina “Jabber Jaws”, Madison “Squeeky”, Mathew “Scooter”, Ethan “Little Buddy” and Kelsey “Comesigomma”; sister-in-law, Shirley Fornito of Liverpool; brother-in-law, Gerald Errico of Cape Coral, FL, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Lawrence’s life at 10:00 am at St. John the Baptist Church. Entombment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, July 20, 2015 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
