Lawrence G. Maturo, Jr.'s Obituary
Lawrence G. Maturo, Jr., 27, of North Syracuse, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018. He was born in Syracuse and graduated from Cicero-North Syracuse High School. Larry was excited to be starting a new career with CADimensions, Inc. He was very active and enjoyed biking, golfing, weight-lifting, and baseball. He loved cooking and being Kimmy’s “master chef”. Larry would light up a room when he walked in and everyone, especially children, were drawn to him. He loved the holidays, particularly Christmas with over the top gift-giving, and spending time with family. Larry’s legacy is he was everyone’s best friend.
He is predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Joan “Yia Yia” Lechliter-Diveris and his paternal grandparents, Rocco and Dee Maturo.
Larry is survived by his fiancé, Kimberly Fabian; his mother and step-father, Gwendolyn (Gooshaw) Maturo-Grasso and Richard Grasso; two sisters, Amalia (Heriberto) Flores and Angela Maturo (Corey Bouissey); step-sister, Mary Grasso; his father, Lawrence (Anna) Maturo, Sr. and children; his maternal grandfather, Hercules “Papou” Diveris; his nephew Giovanni; many aunts, uncles, cousins, the “M” Squad, and his beloved dog Zoey.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions will be divided between Teen Challenge of Greater Cleveland, Inc. and memorial benches/bike racks at NY state parks and one for Cape Cod. Please send your donation to: Larry Maturo, Jr. Memorial Fund, 6310 Fly Road, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
