Lawrence "Larry" Milazzo's Obituary
Lawrence “Larry” Milazzo, 82, of Chittenango, NY, passed away at home on January 20, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born on May 8, 1936 in Syracuse to the late Fortunato and Margaret Milazzo. Larry was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from Hood Corporation in 2001. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, softball and his Cows! Larry was a loving husband, father and grandfather that was known for his Immense kindness and gentle heart.
Larry was predeceased by wives, Charlotte Milazzo (1979) and Helen Milazzo (2007); his son, Lawrence (2001); daughter, Helen (2018); step-daughters, Peggy (1992) and Candy (2015).
Larry is survived by his daughter, Diane (Leonard) Meeks of Chittenango; sons, Steve (Viola) Prince of Lysander, David (Deb) Milazzo of Syracuse, Joseph Milazzo of Nashville, TN and Edward Milazzo of E. Syracuse; step-children, Mike (Slavka) Rydelek, John (Jane) Kravec and Jan Knapp; his brother, Bobby (Wanita) Milazzo of Syracuse; 29 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Larry’s life will be held at 11 am on Friday, January 25, 2019 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
