Leila "Lee" (DePalma) Pfohl's Obituary
Leila “Lee” (DePalma) Pfohl passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the Francis House surrounded by her loving family. Born in Syracuse to the late Joseph and Angeline (D’Agostino) DePalma, Lee was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse’s North Side. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Pompei/ St. Peter Church and a member of the St. Therese Society. Lee was famous for her meatballs and her manicotti. She loved feeding family and friends, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life.
Besides her parents Lee was also predeceased by her husband of 52 years, William, and a brother, James DePalma.
Lee is survived by her children, William (Lillian) Pfohl, of Liverpool and Donna (Carl) Coyle, of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Lisé (Nicholas) Damiani, Bradley (Jacqueline) Coyle, and Will Pfohl; four great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary DePalma; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services in celebration of Lee’s life will be held at 7:30 on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the Thomas J. Pirro Jr. Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 8:30 in Our Lady of Pompei/ St. Peter Church. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00- 7:00 PM on Monday, September 25 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY 13212.
