Lena Guardino's Obituary
Lena (Ascioti) Guardino, 93, formerly of Solvay, NY passed away on Thursday in Houston, TX. Born in Solvay, she was a book keeper for Ascioti's Meat Market for most of her life. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Guardino. Lena is survived by 2 daughters, Carol (Bill) Skinner of TX and Anne (Angelo) Lorusso of N.C.; 2 granddaughters, Lauren (Jordan) Mayo and Kimberly Skinner; a brother, Dr. Dominick Ascioti of FL; 4 sisters, Lucretia Quattrone, Frances Quattrone, Philomena Ascioti and Rose Spagnoletti, all of Solvay and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 9:30 AM in St. Cecilia's Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home TODAY (Sunday) from 1 to 3 PM. Contributions may be made to St. Jude Foundation.
