Lena Virginia Hemink's Obituary
Lena Virginia Hemink, beloved daughter of Douglas and Ashleigh (Caruso) Hemink, was born on July 31, 2024, in Syracuse, NY. Lena passed away peacefully in her parents’ arms on November 1, 2024.
In addition to her parents, Lena is also survived by her brother, Derek Hemink; her grandparents, Leonard and Valerie (Hanson) Hemink, and Dominick and Karen (Perrotti) Caruso; great-grandparents, Terry Hemink, Eileen Hanson, and Maryann Caruso, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Lena was predeceased by her great-grandparents, Loretta Hemink, Carmen and Virginia Perrotti, and Anthony Caruso, Sr.
Lena had an amazing group of people supporting and praying for her since birth. We especially want to thank our family and friends, the Crouse NICU staff, the Mass General Hospital NICU staff, and the Upstate Golisano’s PICU staff for taking such wonderful care of our angel. We are forever grateful for the love and support from everyone.
In Lena's short three-month journey, she brought an infinite amount of love to all who knew her.
Lena, you are loved beyond measure and will be missed beyond words. Your light will forever shine in our hearts.
A private funeral service was held in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Warners, NY.
