Leonardo Selicato's Obituary
Leonardo Selicato, 92 years old, passed peacefully at home on Friday, March 1, 2019 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Monopoli (Bari), Italy to the late Antonio & Antonia (Longo) Selicato. He was employed by New Process Gear for 30 years. In his spare time he enjoyed winemaking, gardening and was a bocce ball champion. Lenny especially enjoyed the beach & sunshine, hosting large family and friend gatherings of food & wine and was adored by all who met him.
He is predeceased by his brothers, Michele, Enzo, Cosimo, Piero, and sister Lina; beloved nephew Cosmo. Survived by his wife Anna (Medico) of 57 years, daughters Toni (Joe) Santoferrara & Grace (Marco Márquez), grandchildren Teresa (Errol Russell), Alyssa, Andrés Leonardo & Grace; Sisters Elisa, Viettina, Guiseppina, Maria, Vittoria, Giovanna; many nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Leonardo’s life at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Family Church. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt N.Y. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, March 4, 2019 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
