I asked Lynda to be my sponsor her smile and love a life was contagious can't share all the details but it has to do with a cop and trying to get out of a ticked in early sobriety I thought the reference was about me 😂 early sobriety 🧡 I called her sponsor and referred to her as my sponsor she was waiting for me to make a real commitment Thank You I'm trurly greatful to have met you and the last thing I texted as we miss you and our home group trurly won't be the same ❤️ 🙏🍀
Linda will be missed. She was always the life of the party. May she rest in peace.
Linda was a gift to everyone that knew her and loved her. She lit up the whole room just by being there. And was the funniest person in the room. You could feel her love of life just by talking to her. I will miss her deeply. Sending prayers of love to Jill and family. I’m so glad I always take a million pictures because I can still hear her laughter in the pictures. Rest in peace Linda. ❤️
Linda was an extraordinary woman who meant so much to so many of us. As my coach at Randolph-Macon College, she was far more than a mentor—she was a steady source of strength, guidance, and belief at a time when I needed it most. As an only child without parents, I often looked to her for direction, and she helped shape not only the person I became on the court, but the person I became in life. We had so much fun with Linda.
Her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support left a lasting mark on me, and I will carry her influence with me always. I hope it brings some comfort to all who are grieving to know how deeply she impacted my life and the lives of so many others.

A unique, warmth-providing, beautiful star may seem to have winked out in the sky that’s visible to us still down here, but when Linda becomes your friend, it is a forever kind of love that never really leaves. I will miss seeing her smile, hearing her infectious laugh, talking about the silly and the profound. Jill, Chris and family - may you get through these days to the other side where the happy memories crowd out the last few months and give you peace.
The time I met Linda was short, but she definitely made a lasting and memorable impression. I truly enjoyed working with her during her home care physical therapy services. She was absolutely a pleasure to talk about women’s sports with and hearing about her basketball coaching members. Sending my prayers and love to the family.
When Linda was coaching at Cornell, I was in admissions for one of the colleges. It was my honor to be liaison with the women's teams so I got to know her and her passion for sports and students. In addition, when I needed volunteers to help with Cornell Commencement, Linda was enthusiastic!
