Linda L. Ruggiero's Obituary
Linda L. Ruggiero, 84, of Cicero, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Herkimer, NY, daughter of the late Charles and Clara Longeretta. Linda was the best cook and loved entertaining her family and friends. She enjoyed playing slot machines at the casinos and loved vacationing in Orlando, Florida and The Bahamas, always wanting to be by the beach and the ocean; she especially loved her cruise to Bermuda. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren; she always cherished their visits from North Carolina. Linda was loved by everyone who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
She is predeceased by her canine companion, Cocoa.
Linda is survived by her husband of 64 years, Anthony J. “Sonny” Ruggiero; her two daughters, Annmarie Ruggiero and Gina (Tony) DeMaio; four grandchildren, Khadri, Nadia, Maya and Ghassan Yagan; siblings, Loretta (Dick) Risi, Charlene (Russell) Longeretta and Chuck (Sandy) Longeretta, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, funeral services will be private. She will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery, Utica, NY.
