Linda (Barry) Viscome's Obituary
Linda (Barry) Viscome, 78, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, with family by her side, at Upstate University Hospital – Community Campus. She was a lifetime resident of the Northside of Syracuse, daughter of the late Thomas and Genevieve (Hooper) Barry. Prior to her career, Linda’s greatest joy was raising her two boys. Later in life she retired from the Syracuse City School District as a Teacher’s Assistant.
Linda’s life was full of family, friends who are family, good times, good food, and dancing. If there was trouble, call Linda! She endured a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She is now at peace. Keep the lights on, coffee hot and food cooking when we meet again. Rest in Peace, Mom.
Along with her parents, Linda is predeceased by her brother, Thomas Barry (Miss Louise).
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Anthony Viscome; two sons, Michael, and David (Erin); and her three grandchildren, Cole, Gianna, and Cailin.

A funeral Mass in celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 9:30 A.M. in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St. Syracuse. Private entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will take place on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY.
