Lois E. (Duff) Rivizzigno's Obituary
Lois E. (Duff) Rivizzigno, 90, formerly of Liverpool, NY passed away Wednesday at Upstate University Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Houston, TX, and resided in the Syracuse area since 1945. Lois was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Coast Guard. While serving, she met Joe Rivizzigno, Sr. and they married and had 62 wonderful years of life together prior to his passing in 2007. She was the owner and operator of Eileen’s Beauty Salon for many years in downtown Syracuse. She was an avid SU sports fan for many years. Lois enjoyed life to the fullest and spending time with her family. She was a true friend and neighbor and will be deeply missed. May the Lord shine His light upon her and rejoin her with her husband, Joe Sr. in Heaven.
Lois is survived by her son, Joe Jr. (Peggy); three grandchildren, Michael (Marci) Rivizzigno, Jaime (Nate) Feinberg and Sara (Howie) Greenhouse; four great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Private burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
