Louis Joseph Poletto's Obituary
Louis Joseph Poletto, 86 years young of Liverpool, NY joined the Lord his God on February 14, 2013 with his children and Rev. Robert Hyde by his side. Born to Jerome and Carmella (Ferigino) Poletto on August 17, 1926, he grew up in Carbondale, Pennsylvania. Following his honorable discharge from the United States Navy, he moved to Syracuse, NY where he met his bride, Rose. Louis was a dedicated and extremely loving husband, father and grandfather. A steadfast Yankee fan for most of his life, he loved the game and his team. He was a member of St. Daniel's parish for 20 years. Louis worked for General Electric his entire career and made dozens of friends over his lifetime due to his loving, humorous character. To know him was to truly love him.
He was preceded in passing by his brothers, Joseph and Sam and his sisters, Minnie Scalzo and Rose Maida.
His loving family left to hold his memories include his loving wife of 63 years, Rose (LaMacchia) Poletto; a son, Lou (Judy) and daughter, Patti; grandson, Anthony; granddaughters, Kristina, Lisa and Maya; step-grandchildren, Paul, Abbey and Ava as well as a sister, Fran Natichak of Carbondale, PA along with many nieces, nephews and brother and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 12:10 pm in St. Daniel's Church, where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
