Louis J. Rosati's Obituary
Louis Rosati, 90, of Liverpool, passed away on Sunday surrounded by his children. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Louis and Margaret Rosati. Louis was employed by Niagara Mohawk and later Onondaga County. After retirement, he lovingly filled his time with family, friends, and serving his church and community. He was a member of Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church Holy Name Society, and served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was also a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Rose of Lima and Color Guard, member of the Italian American Veterans, John Venditti Post, Town of Salina Seniors, and Italian American Heritage. Louis served as president for a number of years with St. Rose of Lima Seniors and Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Seniors.
Louis was extremely proud of his service as a veteran in the US Army, 1st Division, 26th Infantry I Company 2nd Battalion and equally proud to have participated in Honor Flight.
He was married to the late Yolanda Rosati, with whom they raised five children, Margaret (Steven) Zogg of North Syracuse, Louis (Pam) Rosati of Camillus, Diane (Dan) Graham of Baldwinsville, Janet (John) Phillips of Baldwinsville, and Gina Rosati of Liverpool.
Our dad taught us the importance of enjoying memories of family and friends, laughter, and was a testament to inner strength.
Louis is survived by his children; grandchildren; step-grandchildren and great- grandchildren; his sister, Lucy Preston; brother, Dominick, as well as several nieces and nephews, and very special friends.
