Louis P. Toteda's Obituary
Louis P. Toteda, 65, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday at home. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Louis A. and Lauretta (Cogan) Toteda. He graduated from Henninger High School and was employed for more than 30 years at NAPA Auto Parts – Genuine Parts Co. In his earlier years, Louis enjoyed bowling, golfing, camping in the Adirondacks and more recently “pre-covid” going to the casino. He was an avid SU football and basketball fan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Diane (Crozier) Toteda; daughters, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Guerin and Kathleen (Kristopher) Guyette; son, Anthony (Tess) Toteda; three grandchildren, Jameson Guyette, Leland Wright and Charlotte Toteda; sisters, MaryAnn (Tracy) Hess, Josephine Vacco, Rose (Bill) Rogers and Carol (Braulio) Melendez; many nieces, nephews and cousins and his beloved dog, Snickers.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 9 a.m. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret’s Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Pine Plains Cemetery in Clay. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Road (corner of Buckley Road) North Syracuse, NY.
