Louise (Cesarini) Giufre's Obituary
Louise (Cesarini) Giufre, 93, of Canastota, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015 in the Oneida Healthcare Extended Care Facility surrounded by her loving family. Born in Canastota, N.Y., the daughter of Quinto and Claudia (Marchetti) Cesarini, Louise attended Canastota Schools and was a communicant of St. Agatha’s Church. She was the head waitress at the White Elephant Restaurant in Canastota for many years. Louise also co-owned Giufre’s Liquor Store in Canastota with her late husband Tony, who passed away in 1996.
Louise’s family would like to thank the administration at the Oneida Extended Care Facility, and in particular, the 3rd Floor Nurses and Staff, for the excellent care and kindness given to Louise. She loved you all.
Louise was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Louise is survived by her children, Thomas (Roslyn) Giufre of Syracuse, Robert (Elizabeth) Giufre of Lexington, KY, and Michael (Patricia) Giufre of Liverpool; her grandchildren, Thomas (Melissa) of Minoa, Kevin and fiancé (Wendy Spence) of Rochester, N.Y., Anthony (MaryJo) of Buffalo, N.Y., Lisa (Richard) Norris of Washington, D.C., Matthew (Stephanie) of Montgomery, N.Y., and Mark (Carrie) of Burnt Hills, N.Y.; eight great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and Friends may call at St. Agatha’s Church in Canastota on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. A Funeral Mass in celebration of Louise’s life will be held at 11:00 AM. A private burial will be in St. Agatha’s Cemetery. THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME is handling funeral arrangements.
