Lucille "Lucy" (Surace) Indivero's Obituary
Lucille “Lucy” (Surace) Indivero, 81, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born in Archbald, PA and grew up on the North Side of Syracuse. Lucy was a communicant of Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church and a member of the Lionette’s. She was a self-employed florist and owner and operator of the Orchid Shop for many years. Lucy enjoyed bowling and bingo and was also an animal lover who raised Pomeranians.
She was predeceased by her parents, Salvatore and Antoinette (Sicary) Surace; her husband, John F. Indivero, Sr., her brother, Santo and two sisters, Catherine Surace and Concetta Saia.
Lucy is survived by her son, John Indivero, Jr. of Syracuse; her daughter, Ella Mae Bowman of Syracuse; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; her brother, Carmen (Mary) Surace of N. Syracuse; her sister, Anna Marie (Theodore) Basile of Lafayette, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Lucy’s life at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, Dewitt. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Monday, September 21, 2015 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse, NY 13208.
