Lucretia (Ascioti) Quattrone's Obituary
Lucretia (Ascioti) Quattrone, 100, passed away on Wednesday at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Philadelphia, PA to Catherine and Antonio Ascioti, she was the third oldest of ten children. She grew up in Solvay where she lived most of her life. A dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother earned her love and respect from everyone. On June 10th she celebrated her 100th birthday with her family and friends. Lucretia's passion was cooking, she derived great pleasure in preparing wonderful meals for others. Her Italian specialties were enjoyed by everyone in the family, especially on Christmas Eve. Lucretia's recipes are treasured and will live on. She also enjoyed spending her summers at the Atlantic Shore. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Quattrone in 1972. Lucretia is survived by her daughter, Philomena (Anthony) Terranova of Syracuse; a son, Paul (Judy) Quattrone of Clermont, FL; six grandchildren, Christopher Terranova of Wayne, PA, Lisa (James) Terranova Roveda of NO. Attleboro, MA, Michael J. (Laura) Terranova of Framingham, MA, Jill (David) Quattrone Leahy of Hingham, MA, Paul Quattrone of Pittsburg, PA and Lynne (Rob) Quattrone Mosley of Eugene, OR; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Frances Quattrone and Philomena Ascioti with whom she lived and Rose Spagnoletti; several nieces and nephews. A special "Thank You" to her sisters who loved and took care of her and to Dr. William Berkery and Dr. Ray Forbes and their staff. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 9:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse and 10:00 am in St. Cecilia Church, Solvay. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 to 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dominican Nuns, Court St., Hospice of CNY or The Samaritan Center, Montgomery St.
