Lucy (Fiumara) Copani's Obituary
Lucy (Fiumara) Copani, beloved mother and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Crouse Hospital at the age of 103. She was born in Syracuse to the late Peter and Clara (Turco) Fiumara and worked for the Julius Resnick Pocketbook Factory. Lucy loved gardening, and growing flowers was her specialty. Lucy enjoyed reading and for her whole life she had the luxury of never needing glasses. Everyone that met Lucy adored her and she enjoyed spending her time with friends and family.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Michael Copani in 1994; her son, Samuel (Donna) Copani; her grandson, Michael Copani; seven sisters and two brothers.
Lucy is survived by her loving son, Peter Copani of West Palm Beach, FL; two grandsons, James Peter Copani and John David (Shala) Copani; several great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service in celebration of Lucy’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Road (corner of Buckley Road) North Syracuse. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
