Lucy (Romano) DeLuca's Obituary
Lucy (Romano) DeLuca, of Camillus, passed away peacefully at home on April 7, 2020. She was born in Syracuse, NY on December 1, 1919, daughter of the late Joseph and Carmela (Renazzi) Romano. Lucy was known as ‘Lux’ by her family and friends.
Lux married Rocco “Rocky” Giuseppe DeLuca in 1975 and they established their home in Camillus which became the center of many family activities, especially Sunday dinners.
She enjoyed her lifelong career in the automobile business where she assisted her brother,Anthony “Chappy”, at his original used car location and throughout his several new car dealerships.
Lux was predeceased by her husband, Rocky, and all her siblings, Rose Lombardo, John Romano, Helen Pirro, Anthony Romano, Natalie Campanile, Catherine Tarolli, Mary Romano,and Joseph T. Romano. She was also predeceased by two nephews, Anthony Lombardo and Joseph Titus Romano, and two great-nephews, Peter M. Baichi and David J. Baichi.
Surviving Lux are many nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly. Also surviving are brother-in-law, Emmanuel Campanile (Natalie), and sister-in-law, Bonnie Romano (Joseph).
