Lucy (Tucci) Greco's Obituary
Lucy (Tucci) Greco, 96 years young, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 13, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Hospital to be Eternally United with her "Sweetie".
She was born in Syracuse to the late Samuel and Grace (Scalzi) Tucci and attended North High School. Lucy was passionate about decorating, she worked for many years as a window dresser for Flah’s and Addis Co. in downtown Syracuse. Above all, Lucy took care of her home and family, nothing brought her more joy than spending time with loved ones.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, Thomas J. Greco in 2015, her sister, Mary Cesta and brothers, Samuel and Reuben Tucci.
Lucy is survived by her loving daughter, Lucille (Victor) Sawenko; her sister, Ethelina Leone; a nephew, Rev. James Cesta; lifelong friend, Vaugn Ali; several nieces and nephews, along with Fortunato Russo, Joe Greco, Judy Sieperman, Peggy Bye, Mary Greco, Barbara Swig and Mickey Centrone, who were all like children to her.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to their family physician, Dr. Dennis Nave.
Per the family’s request, funeral services will be private. She will be laid to rest with her husband in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, DeWitt.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lucy’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
