Lucy (Labosco) Marco's Obituary
Lucy (Labosco) Marco, 94, of Syracuse, passed away at Crouse Hospital on Monday, November 5, 2018. She was born in Syracuse, NY, daughter of the late Dominick and Antoinette Labosco. Lucy was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Pompei Church. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and made many baby blankets over the years. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends. Lucy was an avid card player and did not like to lose. Her family was the center of her life; she was known as “Mama Lucy” to her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She warmed the hearts of many with her infectious smile. Lucy will be truly missed.
She was predeceased by her husband, James F. Marco; four sisters and two brothers.
Lucy is survived by her two daughters, Antoinette (Richard) Lambert and Patty Marco; two grandchildren, James (Sandy) Lambert and Noelle Wooten; four great-grandchildren, Terez and David Lambert; John F. and Christopher Wooten; several nieces and nephews.
Lucy’s family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Joseph Augustine and his staff and to Dr. William Dutch.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 9:30 am – 11:30 am at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Lucy’s life at 12:00 pm (noon) in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church.
